It’s not often that I feel I am able to give God the entirety of my being – mind, body, and soul. I am constantly overwhelmed by the fact that Jesus gives of Himself completely in every moment, most intimately in His body and blood. He hides nothing from us, and holds nothing back.
When I have the courage to open my heart and fully receive Christ’s love, my soul feels like it could burst from the inside out. Sometimes this feeling births deep prayer or a flow of emotion, but most often it results in what I like to describe as arms wide open, singing to the heavens, feel it in my bones worship. A total surrender of all that I am before the One who loves every part of me.
A cry of adoration to the Lover of my soul – it’s unashamed and uncontained.
God receives our offering no matter the depth. He only asks for our best on any given day, but what if we didn’t give our heart in pieces?
What if you gave it all?
For the One who gave His life for you.
Upon bringing the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem, the most sacred representation of God in the Old Testament, “David and all the house of Israel were dancing before the Lord with all their might, with songs and lyres and harps and tambourines and castanets and cymbals.” 2 Samuel 6:5
They were dancing with all their might. David didn’t care what he looked like or whether he hit the right notes. He was unashamed and uncontained, completely fixed on God.
Don’t be shy, don’t be worried, and don’t hold back – for all of God’s glory flows back to you. Let your mind, body, and soul proclaim these three simple words:
